Welcome
Station 45 - home of Anderson Cleary, the youngest Chief in the history of Cascade. This man gave his all for the station. He brought it back from the brink of closure as a Captain. He remodeled the building, made sure that everything out of date was improved and replaced. However, the station soon came upon turmoil as it was torn in half by the actions of two men. Even after all the close calls he had gone through, nothing could take him away from his beloved station and job. That was until his life was taken in the performance of his duties. It left the station in shock of losing their leader and friend.
As they gave the highly decorated hero his final ride on the truck and laid him to rest, a new threat came to Station 45 and the two others in the city. A pyromaniac was about to make his mark on the city and give this station a new threat to face without their leader. This wasn't their only problem. The actions of two men a few weeks before Anderson's death left the station torn. Five crew members and a Captain was replaced and left a gap in the personnel. Now this burden rests upon the shoulders of a new Chief and old friend to Anderson - Gavin O'Leary.

Another thing to deal with.. « Thread Started on May 4, 2009, 11:23pm »
Gavin had taken the last few weeks off from work, got a chief to cover him while he was gone. Everyone thought he needed personal time because this time last year they lost Anderson. Everyone knew how close Gavin and Anderson were and how Gavin moved out here to take over for his friend. However that wasn't the case though. He had been feeling under the weather and it was getting worse. Gavin couldn't shake the cold he had..
So he finally went the doctors and after they ran some test that led to several more doctors and test. To make sure that everything was coming back right. They told him that he had Lupus and were starting him on a treatment but he needed to make some major changes in his life if he wanted to live longer. After he got that news, he was stuned not sure how to handle the fact he was dying a slow painful death. It meant going into buildings was out of the questions and from what the doctors told him on the bad days showing up for work was going to be a challenge.
This was the last thing he expected to hear or learn of... Well a few weeks after getting that news, he had changed things around. He was eating healthier and taking better care of himself but some habits were hard to break. He needed to watch who he came in contact with because any kind of cold or virus would be ten times worse for him... But he was finding ways to deal with this the best he could. If Anderson would have been around, he would've had a shoulder to lean on and a friend to be there with ordering him around.
It was early morning and Gavin was just sitting in his office. There were random times when the reality of this all hit him hard and this was one of those times. He was sitting on the cot, blankets wrapped around him. His frame curled up int a corner and his head on his knees. His eyes were distant as if he was lost in thought.
