Welcome
Station 45 - home of Anderson Cleary, the youngest Chief in the history of Cascade. This man gave his all for the station. He brought it back from the brink of closure as a Captain. He remodeled the building, made sure that everything out of date was improved and replaced. However, the station soon came upon turmoil as it was torn in half by the actions of two men. Even after all the close calls he had gone through, nothing could take him away from his beloved station and job. That was until his life was taken in the performance of his duties. It left the station in shock of losing their leader and friend.
As they gave the highly decorated hero his final ride on the truck and laid him to rest, a new threat came to Station 45 and the two others in the city. A pyromaniac was about to make his mark on the city and give this station a new threat to face without their leader. This wasn't their only problem. The actions of two men a few weeks before Anderson's death left the station torn. Five crew members and a Captain was replaced and left a gap in the personnel. Now this burden rests upon the shoulders of a new Chief and old friend to Anderson - Gavin O'Leary.

Emily was far from being a lightweight when it came down to it. She could hold her liquor just as well as nearly any of the guys if they went for a night out. At least she used to be able to. Matt had come to her apartment once with beer, jager and some whiskey, and Em had considered herself mighty lucky to not end up with a hangover. Then there had been that time back in college when she had been shown up by the guys in her program. They had put her to shame that night and had taught her that even though she might be a little tank when it came to how much she could handle, they were freight trains. She didn't know how much beer had been guzzled that night, but they had amazed her.
She stared at the counter and laughed at Duckie's comment. "I'm pretty sure the honeymoons you see in movies are far from the truth", she smirked. She would be happy to spend her time inside, but they had a lot planned and she knew there would be little rest for them. "I'll take tons of pictures for you, don't worry", she reassured her friend. No doubt she'd take a couple of less appropriate pictures just to embarrass the medic, but it would all be in jest. This would be Emily's second trip to the great state of Alaska, and she was anxious. This time they would be staying in the lap of luxury rather than camping in a cabin in the backwoods.
"It's this package deal with Juneau Alaska Adventures and Tours", she explained. She couldn't remember everything that had been on the brochure, but she did know that the twelve days they were spending there would be jam-packed with fun stuff. "I think we're going whale watching, and going dogsledding too", she said, trying to recall all that was on the itinerary. She took a sip of her beer, then remembered something else. "Then there's a helicopter ride around the Mendenhall Glacier, and we'll actually land on the glacier and get out for a walkabout", she grinned. That was something she was excited for, even though it involved flying. There was something about the Chilkat mountains and the icefields up there that had her captivated, and if it wasn't for her job in Cascade, she figured she might actually move to Alaska. Sean would in a heartbeat, she already knew that.
